I am so excited to share our final summer wedding. Sarah & Hélène's wedding was an absolutely gorgeous DIY wedding. The wedding was held at Fiddler Lake Resort where the couple rented a bunch of cabins and put the concept, design & magic together from there. Fiddler Lake is the perfect setting for a rustic secluded backdrop. After driving down a dirt road, your cabin awaits, hidden between trees with massive gardens. The ceremony took place in the back garden while the reception tent was perfectly designed for guests in the front. These ladies thought of everything.

As guests began arriving from Montreal, the ladies decided on a first look. We snuck them in between huge yellow plants (are they weeds? I'm not sure) but they are so pretty and colourful, hidden from view and perfect for a private moment before heading down the aisle.

The setting for the ceremony was flawless. Beautiful golden sun lit up the couple. They stood in front of a gorgeous colourful backdrop which they spent a few days making. You could feel the excitement and emotions every time their hands touched. They both did a fantastic job of holding back the big tears for fear their make up would run, so the guests took over and cried many tears for them. You could feel the love, everywhere!

After the ceremony friends & family gathered to congratulate them, pose for photos and drink some of the delicious cocktails designed especially for that day. During our portrait session, we got a small glimpse into how well they compliment each other, just like two pieces of a puzzle, they fit together perfectly. I love it when we tell a couple to pretend we are not there and they immediately talk softly to each other and giggle. These tiny moments are precious and need to be captured. This is when we hide behind trees trying to snap these real moments to turn into lifetime memories.

We knew this was going to be a good night, the ladies told me during their engagement session about how it was going to be crazy with the amount of roller derby chicks at the venue. If anyone knows how to have a good time, it's this crowd. Games were played, drinks were drank, songs were sung, shots were shooted and dances danced.

Happy 30th Birthday Brother!!!!

While I was home last summer, I didn't dare waste the opportunity to photograph my siblings. I don't get home that often anymore and photos have now become my obsession, my memories and my keepsakes. We are all growing up so fast and I just feel the need to document our lives and family every time I'm home.
My brother is only three years younger than me and we literally killed each other growing up. I was the spender and he was the saver. I was the sporty one and he was the farmer. We clashed until he reached the ripe aul age of 16 and got into music. He bought cool DJ equipment and I got into trouble on a daily basis for using it and burning the best ever mixed cd's for my disc man. I remember him placing things in a particular way in his room so if it was moved he would know we were in there. I always seemed to fail at this task, and if only I had the phones and technology of today, I could have taken a photograph to replace items correctly. Then again if I had the phone then I wouldn't need the disc man much.
My brother was the thorn in my side, my punch bag until he became stronger, my dj and my chauffeur. Growing up and passing the teenage years helps, his friends become my friends, we went to nearby colleges and he came to our parties and drove my friends and I home on the weekends (mostly because he had a crush on one of the girls). He has become more sporty throughout the years and even goes GAA games now. When we took him to his first ever GAA game, he stood with his back to the game watching the tractors in the field nearby, I thought there was defo something wrong with him. He has become an unreal rally driver although of all sports he had to go into one of the most dangerous. Some of his videos can be found here and here.
He has helped me through rough patches and we have listened to each others heartaches. My photography started because he helped me purchase a camera I could not afford, again the saver saves the day. Moving away has brought us closer, I guess because I am not there to annoy him all the time and steal all his stuff, that's Emma's job now and she's doing great at it. He is the best brother any one could ask for. I cant wait to live near my siblings again and see them more often. Happy 30th Birthday brother, we will all celebrate this weekend.

The Kearneys

Meet Tracey, John, Michael, Jack and Sean. Tracey was an amazing cousin growing up. She bought all the things my parents wouldn't, like a pair of oversized Michael Jordan shorts that I soooo wanted for basketball, I looked like a muppet in them but she still got them for me. Id say they are still in the attic and they probably fit me better now. She took me the bazaar and she will say she spent a fortune on me, she most likely did, I wasn't a cheap child. She gave me my first pair of Nike shoes, a pair of hand me downs but I washed them and treated them as if they were gold, I thought they gave me some serious SWAG. She got me part time jobs and pocket money which was well needed but above all else, when I was being bullied in secondary school, she got her friends to save my ass.

I have known John since I was about 11. He is hilarious and I could do with his amazing construction now and again. John is a hands on guy, he builds playgrounds and tree houses for the kids. He built his own A frame chicken coop, it is amazing. It gets fresh eggs every morning and sits near their amazing pea garden. If you need something built then John is the man.

The shoot went amazing. The guys were so chill, they got ready on a whim and we headed to Banna Beach. All Jack wanted was to get wet and play in the water. Id say we had only been there 5 mins before we lost his dry pants to the river. Michael was quite the model, he was ready and willing to pose at any moment. GQ better watch out cause theres a new star in town. Sean is a soft quiet sweetheart, an absolutely gorgeous child with dark eyes and mousey brown hair. He def looks like his moms side of the family. Sean has been through the mill for the past few years and is heading for another open heart surgery next year. He was a trooper during the shoot, climbing beams and walking along the beach.

Thanks a million for getting ready in a shot and taking us to a new part of Banna beach that I had yet to explore. Hopefully we didn't overfeed those ducks at the lake.
