A Romantic Elopement: Ryan and Keren

I recently assisted the amazing Vivian Doan with this beautiful wedding. Ryan and Keren visit Montreal often, staying in the same room at the same hotel, year after year. When they decided to elope, what better place than right here?

We met Ryan and Keren at their hotel. It rained all morning but the sky had just opened with a burst of sun. The couple made Keren's bouquet with flowers from Atwater Market. The key hanging from the bouquet will be Ryan's next tattoo, which he plans on getting before leaving Montreal. Keren had her something blue, a little pouch filled with notes from family and friends for her to read before the short and sweet city hall ceremony. Ryan carried the Tiffany boxes for safe keeping. Vivian and I were their witnesses. Afterwards, we headed to Old Port, where we were greeting with a short dry spell. When the heavens finally opened, we ran for the car with our cameras, clothes soaked.

Binky, my friend and owner of Fuchsia, was kind enough to let us continue our shoot at her café. It was the perfect place to warm up. They enjoyed her cupcakes as their wedding cake. The rain still came down but that did not stop us from shooting in the alley behind their hotel, where they kissed endlessly in the rain.

Thanks to Vivian Doan for the opportunity to assist her; it's always a wonderful learning experience. Thanks to Binky for the use of her cozy café. Finally, Ryan and Keren, thank you guys so much for allowing me to experience your beautiful wedding. I wish you all the best.
